The best part of being a part of the 50th for me was seeing all of my hard work and the work of others like Alex, Emilia and Ivette come together in a really awesome looking display that a lot of people enjoyed looking at. I'm also really proud of my own dedication to putting the display up and I'm impressed that so many people like myself wanted to help during and after school to make sure the display looked good. The final thing I enjoyed was playing my cello with the orchestra, I thought it was really fun to play old songs that people might not have heard in a while. All of my activities involved with the 5oth anniversary celebration made me feel like a part of something really special, and I'm glad I was so involved with the celebration.
If I was going to give advice to a 7th grader who was thinking about trying out for Advanced Media Arts I would say that you have to be willing to work extremely hard and sometimes complete projects very last minute, as well as be patient and willing to learn. You also should have an idea of what you want to work on, or if you don't know what you want to work on you should be willing to try things that might be outside of your comfort zone.
