The video above shows my process of putting the logo in Silhouette Studio.
Skylar's teacher Ms.Gorman wants a cake topper for her wedding, in order to create this I downloaded a font from Dafont and typed 'S' in Photoshop and transported that to Retina Engrave. We will be using the laser cutting machine in order to make the S.
I tested the laser cutting. The dimensions are 4 by 2.5, it takes approximately 2.49 minutes to cut.
Ms.Gorman liked the design but wants the dimensions to be 5 by 3. She also wants a stem.
Today I put the finalized version in the laser cut, tomorrow we will spray paint and show Ms.Gorman.
I learned how to turn pictures into vector in order to cut with the updated version. Also if you reduce the speed it cuts through more and reduces burning.
Ive been working on tracing an owl for a retiree. The people have sent in an image for their frame they want. Today I'm tracing the owl in Photoshop.
Ive traced the owl, but I have to put it into the laser cutter. We are troubleshooting how to use the updated version of Retina Engrave.
What is left for you to do to complete your project?
I have to bring my trace into Adobe Illustrator, and from there I will transfer into the laser cut.
This is the final product, we might ]end up cutting a part in the heart as a frame.
