I was proud of the sweatpants because we got them done and delivered very quickly. I felt very accomplished when I finished this project because I did most of it and it was a lot of work. The most important thing I learned in this class was how to use the silk screen and put designs on the sweatpants for soccer and all the sports. I thought this was super important because this could help me later on with fun stuff I could do like designing t-shirts and stuff. Something I wish I could've done this year was maybe MineCraft and learning how to play or build stuff. I also wanted to work with someone and build a house with them to hang out in and play in. My favorite part about Advanced Media Arts is that I'm with my friends and we can do whatever we want and work on. This makes this class different from any other class because we can actually choose what we want to do. I don't think I would change anything about this class because it was really fun and I had a blast in this class.

American, 1925-1992 City Landscape, 1955 Our class saw this piece of art in the museum and it was really interesting. The image is supposed to be a city landscape and it turned out to be many different colors. We went around and then we said one word that we thought described the painting. People said stuff like unique, messy, colorful, extravagant, disgusting, and more. I thought seeing it in person was amazing and it looked so much better. It sort of looks like she just threw paints and layered coatings and different paints. I learned that all the different colors evoke the nerves and arteries of the city. I think this is interesting because it shows all the different things that contain in a city, there are buildings and streets and people. This artwork is really powerful to me because at first I saw the painting and it looked like nothing but splattered paint. I thought to myself I could make this what makes t art? Then, I read the description and I interpreted the painting in a whole different way. This is a really cool piece of work and I'm glad I got to see it, talk and learn more about it. |
