My Biggest accomplishment was making all of the photoshop projects because I had never used photoshop before and I learned how to use it really well. That is also the most important thing that I have learned because it is the thing I will most likely use. My greatest contribution was helping with huge projects like the yearbook and the 8th Grade slideshow. Something I wish that I had more time to work on would be taking photos, because I didnt get a lot of time to do that. My favorite part of media arts was the people, because they were really fun.`I wouldnt change anything about this class.
This artwork, called Untitled (Purple, White, and Red) by Mark Rothko created in 1953 impacted me a lot. It really defined what i think and appreciate is art. All I can see in this painting is blocks of color and i really don't think that this is art. I cannot see anything in it, and any child from age 3 could make this. Today it could apply to the French terrorist attacks because of the color choice, which is one of the things that I think of when I look at it. What makes it powerful to me is the French terrorist attacks. What I learned about this piece is that he put some blotches of pigment on the edges to make the picture look like it was floating within the canvas, which is kind of hat it looks like that.
Recently I have been helping Ms. Kushner sort papers for the 8th grade slideshow. I also made the advanced classes promotional poster in photoshop. In my photoshop project I learned how to use the special effects on text and on the other aspects of the poster. In the silhouette I learned how to use photoshop to make things look smooth, and make it black and white. I also learned how to iron. I also did yearbook, when I leaned how to make pictures fit together, and gradient.
The stuff I have been working on this trimester has been the chute yearbook and maybe the 8th grade slideshow. I still want to mess around with photoshop more this trimester. My 2 best photos are the ones of the sunset and the one of the ping pong table. I don't really have work that I want in the YEA festival except for my first photoshop project.
