So over the week I realized that the editing of the videos from the high ropes course will take longer than I thought. But I did work on that a little this week but I also went up to the advanced art class who is working with stained class for the 50th anniversary display and took some photos in that class that can be used for the yearbook. Next week I'm going to get back on track with the video editing.
Last week I made my shirt on Monday, I took photos for the math Hidden Figures project that was going on last Wednesday. Also I was editing the high ropes adventure course footage on final cut pro. Also I used the 360 camera a lot with the Hidden Figures Project and other things.
This Week my goal is to get close to finishing editing the video on final cut. I have one more movie that I recently took up there that I need to put into final cut. I have 3 different runs up there.
At the beginning of this trimester I worked on a carvey that I gave as a gift, I learned a lot of new skills about the carvey that will definitely help for the future when I work with the carvey again. Such as: never use the 1/32 bit it will just break, how to thicken lines that wouldnt carve with a 1/16 bit in photoshop so they can be carved.
I helped Toby and Asher get measurements in the auditorium which we did at lunch for about a week. they ended up not doing that project but they still may pick it back up.
I experimented with a music making software called Logic Pro X, in it I learned how to work with it and use midi devices, my past knowledge from working sound on stage crew last year helped alot. With all that I made a cover of a song called Adams Song by the band Blink-182 which will be up on this page within this week.
And lastly I have been using my Go Pro that I recently got to film up in the high ropes course in the gym, and I am currently editing that footage on Final Cut Pro.
Recently I have started working on a Project in Logic Pro X which is an Advanced music making software that is used by bands and artists all over. I am currently making an instrumental cover of a song called Adams Song by the pop-punk band Blink-182. I plan to have it done by next week. I have been using the keyboard MIDIs to record tracks and have been looking at chords for the guitars and basses..
So my other project for the month of December I planned to make a chirstmas gift for someone on the carvey but that switched when I was having trouble coming up with an idea for that. So what I did was I found a picture of my swim team logo on google images but it was in horrible quality, so I traced over it in photoshop to the point where I thought it was good. But the only way it would carve is if it I used a 1/32 bit which is a super thin bit that I didnt know we werent supposed to use, so in the middle of the carving I realized it had broke. So the next day I went back and made the lines thicker in photoshop to a point where it would all carve with the 1/16 bit so after that I went to the carvey and it got carved and looks great.
What I learned: Quick ways to Trace images in photoshop, Some do's and dont's when workng with the carvey, How to create and customize a workspace in photoshop to what you need.
Over the course of one week I used the 3-D Doodler. It is a pen that can draw in the air by using similar things to a 3-d Printer. I was expecting it to be easy to work with because of comercials I had seen that made it look like a 2 year old could use them. But in reality it took 2 days just to figure out how to get them up and working and then another couple days to figure out all the little tricks to it. I did end up getting it to work and I used one of the templates that came with the doodler. The template was 'hipster glasses'. What you did is you would make the front part, than the two sides of them and put it all together.
What I learned for next time:
My Goals for December are.
1)The first week I plan on trying out the 3d Doodler pen
2) I would like to try to figure it out, how it works, and once Im done I will have been able to make 1 complete 3-d Doodle
I hope to attending some of the Chute Basketball games to take photos if I know i will have time to edit the photos
1) Lastly I would like to do a Holiday Themed project on the Carvey.
2)What I would like to do I make a gift for my family that has the names of everyone in my Family.
3) nothing that I can think of right now.
What I did during the first trimester projects I did was:
Flash Animations 1,2, and 3.
I took photos at a lot of the Girls Volleyball games.
I edited the photos I took with photoshop.
I created the girls Volleyball t-shirts design
I helped with the order forms for those shirts.
I helped a lot with the makerspace with setting up, working with and using the carvey.
I helped make some designs for the 50th anniversary that we could sell.
Format: Google Slides.
Im going to show some of the photos I took, the Girls volleyball shirt design, and possible a thing we did on the carvey.
